HJPC calls on political and media actors to stop attempts to influence outcome of court proceedings

SARAJEVO, August 19 (FENA) – In light of media reports and coverage, as well as statements by some political representatives concerning the conduct of Gordana Marić, a judge at the District Commercial Court in Banja Luka, in the case between RTRS and BHRT, the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina has called on all stakeholders to act responsibly and in accordance with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, and other international and domestic regulations that expressly prohibit any form of undue influence on the independence of the judiciary.
